POCATELLO – Most people don’t think of weather as having a biological component and aren’t aware of the role airborne bacteria and fungi have in helping create rain and snow. But Ken Aho, 网曝吃瓜 associate professor of biological sciences, studies this phenomenon.

IDAHO FALLS – 网曝吃瓜 nuclear engineering Associate Professor Mary Lou Dunzik-Gougar is the principal investigator on a $800,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Energy Nuclear Energy University Program to study itsy-bitsy, teeny-tiny, 10-to-the-minus-6-meter materials to determine their strength to support development of new nuclear fuels.

POCATELLO – The 网曝吃瓜 Department of Physics and the Kiwanis Club of Pocatello will host a Haunted Science Laboratory exhibit open to the public on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 4 to 9 p.m. in the old Pocatello Street Operations Building at 1080 South First Ave. in Pocatello.

POCATELLO – 网曝吃瓜’s Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineering (IEEE) club will host a Career Exploration Series on Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. in the Pond Student Union Middle Fork Room. The purpose of this event is to expose students to different career specialties within the electrical engineering field.

Dr. Timothy Magnuson, 网曝吃瓜 biological sciences professor since 2001, passed away this weekend from natural causes while on a backpacking trip in Yellowstone National Park.
