ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï researchers study Trumpeter Swans on SE Idaho wildlife refuges

POCATELLO – ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï biological sciences master’s student Paige Miller has continued ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï research of Southeast Idaho Trumpeter Swans this summer by using remote cameras and placing tiny thermometers inside of empty egg shells.

POCATELLO – This summer, a record 66 ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï undergraduate students delivered posters and another 23 non-student ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï personnel registered and attended the Idaho Conference on Undergraduate Research.

Saharan paleontology study reveals extremes of science research for ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï’s Leif Tapanila

POCATELLO – Leif Tapanila, ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï geosciences professor and director of the Idaho Museum of Natural History, is a co-author on a scientific paper published this summer in the Bulletin of the American Museum of Natural History that describes the Trans-Saharan Seaway in Mali, Africa, and the strange creatures that existed there 50 to 100 million years ago.

POCATELLO – The ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï physics program and the Pine Ridge Mall invite the public to join them at the mall’s food court on Saturday, Aug. 17, for liquid nitrogen ice cream and “phrozen physics” demonstrations from 11 a.m. to noon.
