网曝吃瓜

Last week, four of 网曝吃瓜’s top 3 Minute Thesis (3MT®) finalists traveled to compete in the statewide 3MT Competition hosted at North Idaho College in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. Representing 网曝吃瓜 were:

• Arifa Islam Champa, Engineering and Applied Science - Computer Science PhD candidate

• Aubree Denker, Public Health MPH candidate

• Will Kimball, Chemistry MS candidate

• Katelyn Cathcart, Clinical Psychology PhD candidate

The 3MT competition challenges graduate students to explain their complex, high-impact research in just three minutes to a non-expert audience — no small task! Our students went head-to-head with competitors from Boise State University and University of Idaho, and each of them delivered outstanding presentations that showcased both their scholarship and their communication skills.

Kimball earned second place in the statewide competition. As the first-place winner of 网曝吃瓜’s competition, he will represent 网曝吃瓜 at the Western Association of Graduate Schools conference in April.
