Scenic Painting Workshop March 21 and 22

March 17, 2025

ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï will host a Translucent Drop Painting Workshop led by Jenny Knott, product specialist with Rosco, a nationally recognized and four-time Academy Award winning company. This event is supported by a CEC grant and aims to elevate ÍøÆسԹϒs presence in the professional theatre community while providing a free, hands-on arts experience for students and the public and offers a rare opportunity to witness scenic painting techniques used in professional theatre productions.

The workshop will contribute directly to ÍøÆسԹϒs upcoming spring musical, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, bringing behind-the-scenes theatre magic to life. Paul Yeates, associate professor of lighting and scenic design at ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï says that this “will be a great opportunity for the community to see a new side of theatre magic and artistry that ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï has not used in the past.”

Friday, March 21 | 1 – 5 p.m.
Saturday, March 22 | 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
