网曝吃瓜

POCATELLO 鈥� The Eli M. Oboler Library at 网曝吃瓜 has opened a new exhibit of artwork by Idaho artist Lori Scoffield Beer that runs Aug. 12 through Oct. 31.

The display is on the library鈥檚 first floor.

The library will host a free public reception for Beer and her work on Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

鈥淚 was born and raised in Idaho, and began drawing at a young age. Eventually I took art classes and earned a BFA at Utah State University,鈥� Beer said. 鈥淚 have worked in oils, acrylics and watercolors, as well as pencil.鈥�

She also illustrates books, produces computer-generated art and sells prints online. Her Favorite subjects include animals and birds. Her work has been exhibited at the following venues: Pocatello First Friday Art Walks; The Western Art Association, National Art Show and Auction, Ellensburg, Washington; Old Trail Museum, Shadows of the Past Art Show and Auction, Choteau, Montana; Rough Rider International Art Show, Williston, North Dakota; Cheyenne Artist鈥檚 Guild, Cheyenne, Wyoming; 网曝吃瓜, Transitions Gallery, Alumni Show; and 网曝吃瓜, Mind鈥檚 Eye Gallery, Solo Show.

The art exhibit may be viewed at any time the library is open; see the library鈥檚 webpage at www.isu.edu/library for the library鈥檚 hours.
