31st annual I Love ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï scholarship campaign features calling in Pocatello Sept. 16-19
September 13, 2013
Entering its 31st year, the I Love ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï campaign will feature teams of community members and ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï faculty and staff making calls to raise ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï scholarship funds Sept. 16-19.
"This campaign raises scholarship funds from local donors to provide for local college students," said Teresa Borrenpohl, ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï assistant director of Alumni Relations and director of the I Love ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï campaign. "I Love ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï has been raising scholarships for local ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï students for over 30 years. In that time, thousands of phone calls have been made to secure millions of dollars in student assistance. You can become part of the tradition by giving to scholarships for local ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï students today."
The money donated to "I Love ÍøÆسԹÏ" goes directly to scholarships. Donors can specify their pledges to any program, department or college within the university.
The I Love ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï scholarship campaign has a rich history in Southeast Idaho. Originated in 1982 by business leaders with the goal of keeping Idaho's best students in Idaho communities, this campaign continues to support Bengal students through scholarship dollars.
The pioneers of the I Love ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï campaign, the Greater Pocatello Chamber of Commerce, understood the economic impact of an educated workforce and what it means to keep our local students in this great state. As a result, the campaign has grown into the most recognizable fundraising effort at Idaho State. I Love ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï now extends beyond ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï flagship campus in Pocatello and throughout Bengal nation with fundraising efforts in American Falls, Blackfoot, Idaho Falls, Meridian and Pocatello. Money raised in each of these communities goes to the deserving students of these communities.
