网曝吃瓜 is awarded $1.8 million TRIO grant

网曝吃瓜 TRIO student services has been awarded $1.8 million to work with low-income, first-generation high school students to prepare them for post-secondary education.
TRIO is a set of federally funded college opportunity programs that motivate and support students in their pursuit of a college degree. More than 840,000 low-income, first-generation (meaning neither parent has a four-year degree) students and students with disabilities are served by more than 2,900 programs nationally.
TRIO programs provide academic tutoring, personal counseling, mentoring, financial guidance and other supports necessary for educational access and retention.
"We are happy to be able to help prepare students in this area for postsecondary education through the TRIO Upward Bound federal grant," said Sari Byerly, 网曝吃瓜 TRIO director. "Idaho States program will be providing valuable services to students at Aberdeen, American Falls, Pocatello, Highland, Century, Blackfoot, Snake River and Sho-Ban High Schools."
