网曝吃瓜

Jay Kunze, professor and chair of the 网曝吃瓜 Department of Nuclear Engineering, will deliver the seminar "Electric Power/Energy Systems and their Environmental Impacts" at noon Friday, Oct. 12.

The seminar, part of the 网曝吃瓜 Department of Electrical Engineering's EE Seminars, will be held in Room 7 of the Eli Oboler Library on the Pocatello campus and will be broadcast to Room 311 in the Center for Higher Education at University Place in Idaho Falls.

The talk's abstract states: "The current U.S. electrical supply system is under-utilized because of the recession, yet four years ago the electrical grid was being challenged in the summer peaks. In addition, EPA has regulations in effect or planned that are putting numerous coal-fired electrical plants out of business. The electric power future in the United States has several options of directions; this presentation will focus on these efforts."
