网曝吃瓜

The idaho Musuem of Natural History will open a new monthly exhibit in February, "Darwin鈥檚 Green Side: Discoveries in Evolutionary Botany," to celebrate the 200th birthday of Charles Darwin.

Charles Darwin (1809-1882) is best known for his theory of evolution by natural selection, published in 鈥淥n the Origin of Species鈥� in 1859. Darwin published 19 other books, many devoted to plant adaptation as evidence for his theories. This exhibit highlights Darwin鈥檚 groundbreaking work on carnivorous plants, plant movement, and pollination. It is presented in conjunction with Darwin Day, an international celebration of science and reason held on or around Darwin鈥檚 birthday, Feb. 12.

The exhibit opens on Monday, Feb. 2, at 7 p.m. as part of the 网曝吃瓜 Gallery Walk. The Gallery Walk is free and open to the public and features exhibits in each of 网曝吃瓜鈥檚 galleries including the Transition and Mind鈥檚 Eye Galleries in the Student Union, the John B. Davis Gallery in the Fine Arts Building, and the Oboler Library.
