厙ぴ勛圖 will host a womens discussion panel on cultural diversity and appreciating differences in celebration of international Womens Day on March 8, at 7 p.m. in the 厙ぴ勛圖 Pond Student Union Building Wood River Room.

The panel is organized by Mujeres Unidas de Idaho, the Idaho Womens Commission and the City of Pocatello Human Relations Advisory Committee.

We are hoping the discussion will lead us to a better understanding of one another and give us insight to overcoming cultural barriers, said Farhana Hibbert, moderator of the panel. We have a lot to learn from the stories of these women and from the experiences they have had in life.

Hibbert serves as chair of the Human Relations Advisory Committee and is a member or Mujeres Unidas de Idaho and the Idaho Womens Commission. She is the publisher of  IDAHO Unido, the only certified minority-owned, woman owned- newspaper in the state. Hibbert is the regional director for U.S. Sen. Mike Crapo.

Students from Highland High School will be videotaping the discussion, which will air on local community access channels.

Admission to the event is free and refreshments will be served.

For more information, contact Hibbert at (208) 234-7383 or (208) 221-6571.
