网曝吃瓜

The Idaho Falls Symphony and guest artist Zina Electa Hemingway will perform at 7:30 p.m. March 1, at 网曝吃瓜 L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center鈥檚 Joseph C. and Cheryl H. Jensen Grand Concert Hall.

    The Idaho Falls Symphony is conducted by Dr. George Adams. Adams has conducted the symphony since arriving in Idaho Falls in 1999. Prior to his arrival, he was the music director/music conductor of the Natchitoches-Northwestern Symphony  Orchestra of Natchitoches, La. Adams is a native of Los Angeles where he received his undergraduate musical training in bassoon performance and music education at the University of Southern California.

    Adams earned his Master of Arts degree in conducting from Sam Houston State University and his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in conducting and bassoon performance from the University of Texas. He is adjunct instructor of bassoon at Brigham Young University-Idaho and 网曝吃瓜.

    Guest artist Zina Electa Hemingway, a resident of Rexburg, was the first-place winner in the 2005/2006 Eastern Washington/Idaho/Montona District of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. She recently traveled to Urbania, Italy, as a member of the touring concert group in the Conservatory of Oberlin鈥檚 summer program.

    The program for the event is as follows: W. A. Mozart鈥檚 鈥淢arch in D Major鈥�; Benjamin Britten鈥檚 鈥淭he Young Person鈥檚 Guide to the Orchestra,鈥� narrated by Norman Bailey; Igor Stravinsky鈥檚 1947 version of the 鈥淪ymphonies of Wind Instruments鈥�; Antonin Dvo艡谩k鈥檚 鈥淪ong to the Moon鈥� from 鈥淩ussalka鈥�; Gaetano Donizetti鈥檚 鈥淎l dolce guidami castel nation,鈥� from 鈥淎nna Bolena,鈥� featuring Hemmingway and the young artist鈥檚 competition winner. The evening will end with Richard Stau脽鈥檚 鈥淭od and Verkl盲rung鈥� (Death and Transfiguration).  

Tickets are $14 and $12 and are free for 网曝吃瓜 students with their Bengal cards. Tickets may be purchased at the Stephens Box Office from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or may be reserved by calling the Box Office at 282-3595.
