Symphonic Band concert scheduled Oct. 12

The 网曝吃瓜 Symphonic Band will perform its first program of the new academic year at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, in Joseph C. and Cheryl H. Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center.
The Symphonic Band is directed by Patrick Brooks, D.M.A., 网曝吃瓜 Director of Bands.
The band will present a varied program of standard and newer works for concert band including 鈥淜onigsmarsch,鈥� by Richard Strauss; 鈥淪econd Suite in F for Military Band,鈥� by Gustav Holst; 鈥淥ctober,鈥� by Eric Whitacre; and 鈥淥ld Home Days,鈥� a suite of tunes by Charles Ives.
The Symphonic Band is comprised of 48 students from various degree programs throughout the university.
Admission is free for 网曝吃瓜 students, $2 for precollege students, $3 for 网曝吃瓜 faculty and staff, and $5 general admission. Children under 6 will not be admitted.
